In a time where we’re all looking to boost our immunity and health, we wanted to share our thoughts and recipe for bone broth.
Bone broth has been used for centuries and is loaded with gelatin, collagen, protein, amino acids, iron, calcium, Vitamin D and Vitamin C, and macro minerals. It’s also delicious and promotes immunity and healing, supports joints and adrenal glands, and aids digestion.
We are lucky enough to get GOODONYA’s bone broth from Chef Lance Roll (aka, the “Flavor Chef”). Chef Lance learned about the healing benefits of bone broth in 2006 and started his company in 2008. The broth is made using the gold standard of bones. We get them from a regenerative, local farm! Also, 100% organic onions, carrots, celery, garlic, lemons, ginger, apple cider vinegar, fresh thyme, parsley, black pepper corns, and bay leaves. It’s simmered for 24 hours!
Here’s a simple recipe so you can make your own bone broth at home. You can use any bones from chicken or beef but they have to be from organic and or 100% pasture raised animals. There is no use soaking and extracting toxins from factory farmed animals. The most cost effective way is to buy the actual meat, have a meal and then use the left over bones and meat scraps to make the broth!
Or just come pick up a mason jar at GOODONYA, we’ve ordered extra to get us through this crazy time.
Stay healthy and clean:)
