Vinovore wine collected was founded by Coly Den Hann, former owner of The Must and Perch. She wanted to bring attaention to women in a male domated industry, so she created Vinovore Wine Market, the first of it’s kind, a shop dedicated to exclusivly carrying female winemakers and wineries owned by women. The bottle features grapes from Randi Winery, located in Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy. Owned by a mother and son team, they have always been focused on sustainable argaculture, indigenous varietals and now organic farming as well.
The Centesimino grape, also known as Sauvignon Rosso, is a rarely known red grape was popular in the 17th centry, howver after limited production levels the vines were lost. Until the 1960's when a winemaker notied a new vine growing in his back yard, he saved the vine, brought it back to life and scale and in 2004 the Centesimino grape variety was offically added to Italys national register of grape varietals.
